At GPSC, we think patient experience is just as important as the advanced surgical technology and treatment we’re known for. From the moment you choose your GPSC surgeon, you’ll enjoy an unusual level of attention and communication as we coordinate your surgical and post-operative care.

Coordinated care from your first visit through rehab

  • We explain plans for your recovery in advance, so you know exactly what to expect in the days and weeks following your procedure.
  • We work with your insurance company to verify coverage and coordinate payments.
  • We stay in contact with you after surgery to ensure you the best possible outcome.

Before your surgery

At the time you schedule your surgery, you’ll receive the forms and pre-operative instructions you need so you don’t have to deal with lots of paperwork on the day of your procedure.  A day prior to your surgery, a nurse will contact you to review your health history, your current health status and answer any questions you have about your pre-surgery instructions.

Day of surgery

When you arrive at GPSC, your personal nurse will greet you, help check you in and prepare you for surgery. Your nurse will stay with you until you go into the operating room, where you’ll be introduced to your surgical team.

After your surgery, you’ll be back with your nurse, who will help you through recovery, take care of any discomfort or pain issues you may have and discuss your pre-arranged post-operative care and treatment plan. Your surgeon will come in to speak with you when you are fully awake. Family or friends can be with you during recovery, if you prefer.

Post surgery

We will call you the day after surgery to check up on you and answer any questions you have. If you require further treatment, we will coordinate your appointments with your doctor(s) and therapist(s) to make the process as easy as possible for you.
